Niantic have announced that on Tuesday 3rd May at 10am local time to Sunday 8th May at 8pm local time, begins the Pokémon Air Adventures Event featuring the debut of both Mega Latias and Mega Latios! Any Latias caught during the event will know the charged move Mistball, and any Latios caught during the event will know the move Luster Purge.

 

 

 

Wild Encounters

During the event, you can encounter any of the following in the wilds:

  • Flying Pikachu

  • Jigglypuff

  • Meowth

  • Pysduck

  • Doduo

  • Magikarp

  • Wingull

  • Swablu

  • Drifloon

If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a Charizard or a Mantine, and you might even find any of the Pokémon listed in their shiny forms too if you’re lucky enough!

 

Timed Research & Field Research encounters

During the event, a timed research task will be available focused on catching Pikachu and flying-type Pokémon. Completing the research will award you with not only an encounter with a Flying Pikachu and 3,000 XP, but also a nice 50 Latias Mega Energy and 50 Latios Mega Energy!

The following Pokémon can also be encountered when completing field research tasks too:

  • Flying Pikachu

  • Doduo

  • Swablu

  • Emolga

And if you’re lucky, you might even find Flying Pikachu, Doduo and Swablu in their shiny forms!

 

Raids & Eggs

During the event, the following Pokémon can be found in Three-Star Raids:

  • Charizard

  • Lapras

  • Togekiss

And within Mega Raids will be Mega Latias and Mega Latios themselves! If you’re lucky enough, you could find any of the raids here in their shiny form.

 

Within 7km eggs you’ll also be able to find:

  • Togepi (If you’re lucky, you can hatch yourself a shiny!)

  • Mantyke

  • Emolga

  • Noibat

 

Bonuses!

Here’s a list of the bonuses available during the event:

 

  • ½ Egg hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an incubator within the event time period.

  • Event themed stickers can be found within the in-game shop! Ticket holders of the Pokémon Air Adventures live event from May 7th to May 8th will be able to acquire event-themed stickers by spinning Pokéstops and opening gifts.
